Meet the woman who did not know how to read…

She was attending the Lent street meetings after being invited by a Church member. You see, she had just received a Bible and wanted to read it and learn more about Jesus, but there was just one problem — she was illiterate.

From day one of Lent, she began to attend the meetings. She set out to with a single purpose. She pleaded with God, “Lord teach me how to read your Word.” She continued to attend all the meetings during Lent, listening to the preaching and praying for her impossible request.

At the end of the 40 days on Sunday, this woman came before the Church to give her testimony. She told the Church of her impossible request, of how she was illiterate and did not know how to read. She then opened her Bible and began to read.

After reading a few passages, she closed the Bible and gave praise to God for working this miracle in her life and giving her the opportunity to read His word.
